So my girlfriend of a year and a half just broke up last night and i really need some advice. We had a great relationship up until this last week. Last night i looked in her phone and noticed that she had started talking to this other guy for like 45 minutes at a time. i asked her about this and she said that they're just friends and he's a really good talker. and then she asked me when was the last time we have had that long of a phone conversation. Anyways, we started arguing and we basically broke up. She said she needs to figure out if she will miss me. Any thoughts on what i can do during this time. I really don't want to lose her and i want to get her back. What do i do?

Hi cincyman520, welcome to the forum
I think you should just apologize for getting into an argument. It is totally acceptable to start asking questions (like she did) but address them by discussing it, not arguing...

what you need to do...and this is going to be tough for you just because you guys have been together so long. You need to talk to her on the phone and admit that you were wrong and all that good stuff. Try to keep that phone conversation going too. Im saying maybe a nice 15-25 minute conversation. The problem your going to have is finding something to talk about on the phone, to keep that conversation going. That guy that she is talking to, doesnt know all the things that you know, so he has a better advantage their. He's going to sound really intrested on the phone and he's going to sound caring (i used to to this to convince girls to break up with their boyfriends). Dont worry though man, its not always a successful tactic. If you too truely had something special together, she"ll comeback. Good Luck Buddy
