Hi
First time here. I've just broken up with my GF of 3 1/2 years. I'm feeling it but I think/feel I've made the right decision. But of course I have doubt. My doubt revolves around how much hard work is normal for a relationship?

How much hard work/difficulty do people put up with before they pull the plug?
If it's hard work 80-90% of the time is that normal?
In my ideal r'ship I'd imagine there's a lightness to the hard work and that most of the time it would be healing and fun. I guess I got to the stage where I'd just had too much.
I'm sad. She wants me and she loves me. Part of me feels like I'm crazy for giving that up. It's so rare.
sigh

Adrift, welcome to the forum, I hope you will like it here

Yep.... Taking the right decision is sometimes the most difficult thing to do - unfortunately.

No, it is not normal to keep working hard on a relationship all the time - in a relationship one should feel comfortable, at ease... relaxed...

I hope you will find a girl that can make you feel that way soon

It seems like everyone on the planet has a difficult person to strangle, er, I mean to grapple with. But many answered my question, “What special gifts do Difficult People give you?”

I loved your answers! I sifted through all your comments (Yes, I read every single one of them) and found 4 fantastic gifts that difficult people give to us. I just compiled your comments—so a big thanks for being my wonderful research team!

I could list down a hundred gifts, but keeping the list short will make it easier to appreciate.

I'm afraid you are not making much sense christinajackson. You didn't ask anything and also there are no replies to you you could have sift through. That leaves me to believe you were just propagating the link underneath your post. Please react only specifically to the questions asked here and don't make up stories that have nothing to do with it.
