I feel silly! I guess it has come to this, and I need some good advice.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for about 8 months now. His ex-girlfriend of 13 years, is still being strung along. They lived Common-law and she is getting half of mostly everything.

Acceptable things. I try to accept anyways!

1.) Coffee meetings
2.) He picks her up from work to "talk" about money, then drives her back. Still catering to her!
3.) She asks him to get thing's fixed, broken computer that he paid for.

Unacceptable thing's

Picking her up at her work place, going for coffee...Then proceeding to go into her apartment. Before heading to work...To fix her "guitar amp?"

We've been through this talk before. He has to do whatever it takes to be "the good guy" which he is anyways..Too good sometimes..To make sure she hopefully stays happy enough to not get lawyers involved. He feels he is doing what he feels is right in his heart to not make thing's hard and stressful!

Is this a classic case of new boyfriend is completely stupid syndrome? I'm not sure, just want some input. HELP!!! If so...I think it may be best if I ran now

MarieM, welcome to the forum. I am happy you joined us

I think it is also a process for him to let go of her completely, but I am sure that will happen. If they didn't split while hating each other this is a rather normal situation your boy friend and his ex are going through now.

It sure beats being bitter - and for you, I hope you realize that no matter what, it is you he choose to be with
