I am struggling with this so bad... am i over reacting?

My husband ex girlfriend's daughter still contacts him every ..i think just every now and then. He does not answer the phone in front of me and he says he does not text her back. He has spoken to her though because things come up every now and then. for example we went to her city ( 8 hours away and he knew she worked somewhere near the beach ) It bothers me because i think that the ex girlfriend pushes her to keep in contact. and the daughter call him pops still? and i gues i am bothered to because my husbands mother called me her name twice and one day my husband said (to his mother) " we have to go she needs to pick up brooke " that is the ex girlfriends daughters name.

am i over reacting?

Hi Ybas, welcome to the forum

You are never overreacting if something bothers you. You should tell your husband about it and kindly request him to take into consideration that this bothers you. I must say however that perhaps the girl genuinely likes your husband and it is not her fault that her mom and he broke up so why should she have to suffer from what grown-ups have decided? It cannot be easy on a child (and later teenager or adult) to 'discard' someone that had a specific role in your life just like that...
