Girlfriend never came back

My girlfriend had a severe drug problem. We had a baby boy in Dec. 07, He was born premature do to the drugs. In Jan. 08 she went to jail and then rehab program which was 9 months long. In Aug 08 she got a part time job while in rehab. In Oct 08 she was released to a half way house. She told nme she was not ready to come home. In Dec. 08 she told me she was not comimg back. So I went to court and got physical custody of our son. She does take him every other weekend. Now she tells me she has a boyfriend and she has had him for a while. Is this just phase she is going through. Is she gonna come back, because I do love and miss her.

I doubt that she suddenly got a boyfriend when she told you, so I'm guessing that she was involved with her boyfriend around December, though it could have been as early as October when she told you that she wasn't ready to return to you. That means three to five months that she has been apart from you and possibly with someone else.

Regardless of her boyfriend, she and you have been apart for at least nine months. The question is: Do you want to wait even further while she gets her kicks with someone else?
