how do i get my boyfriend to hangout with my family?

I have my boyfriend of two years(it will be two years soon) who I love to spend time with but theres one problem. He doesnt want to hangout with my family. how do i influence him in a positive to hangout with my family?
how do i talk to him about this next time? i want to do it when my family is going to go out somewhere.

p.s. I usually go out with his and even went to his aunts house twice even though i felt out of place I went to be with him.

i did ask him.
he told me he felt uncomfortable and weird. so you know what????? i told him that it wasnt fair cause ive felt out of place with his family all the time. my worry is that what if he says ill hangout with you but he goes back on his word. this is important to me. hes literally gotten sick when ive asked him. but i knew and he knew that some part of him was glad to avoid it. he told me and i just reminded him that he always does that to me. he is also afraid to hangout with them.
i guess the question is how do i get him to enjoy hanging out with them and not freak out and cancel our family dates?

You could ask him when he would like to hang out with your family then. That way, it will be when he is comfortable doing so.

my mom has no problem with letting me do my own stuff but my father is always saying no to everything. he wouldnt even let me sleep over at my sisters house.
