I am 16 and i want my ex back he is the love of my life

me and my ex has broken up for about 2 months and i really want him back i am 16 and he is 20 and we met at blockbuster he worked there, when i first saw him i knew there was something about him i knew i wanted to be with him after we got together and we was together for about 5 months we were very happy intell you told me he was on drugs wanted to get his life strait and quit doing drugs I still tlk to him about twice a week he told my friend that he still loved me and alawys will he doesnt need a girlfriend right now and wont be with me does that mean now or ever...to mention my friend is a guy and nothing going between us no eww but as i was saying i have to call him all the time he doesnt call me but the hole time we were together he always called me i didnt need to call him i just wonder if there is sill hope for us i miss him so much and i know we are ment to be together

Well, for one thing it probably was smart of him to stay away from relationships while he's trying to get clean on drugs. But another thing for me is that if he really did love you, he would at least contact you from time to time and say hi. That's what I believe in when someone cares about you, they will always make an effort to show they care. The reason why it's so hard to get over someone sometimes and I know.. I'm going through that myself... is that you always focus on the good memories and never the bad ones and you feel like he's the one and there's no one better out there. You're young and you'll meet plenty of other guys in your life. There's a chance you might be with him again but for now, it's not in the cards until he gets better and we'll see then where he's at.

i talked to him yesterday and he is clean got a new job and is going to school everday i just dont know why he couldnt do this with me there to support him
