I finally decided to completely cut my ex out of my life. I still have love in my heart for him. Honestly if he came to me in the correct manner, if he apologized and admitted he was scared, I would still marry him. He won't do that, so I am moving on. It has been about 5mths and I have finally met someone who has a lot in common with me. To my surprise, I really like him. He is a genuine and humble man. The catch is I met him on myspace, yes I still use myspace. I have never gone this route to meet people and even so, that was not the intent when he requested me. I just got tired of typing on the computer and told him he could call me. Which surprised him. He isn't as successful as I would like him to be, but he has a lot of great potential. He is into me also. I am afraid, I would fall for him and not have met him and then meet him in person and be put off by him, thus wasting his time and heart. He wouldn't have that problem with me. I am like the bottle, he would need a 12 step program to get off me. lol, but serious. I would like to think I am not that shallow, I am picky. I am wondering should I pursue this at all. What is the success rate? I am also out of the country and will not have an opportunity to meet him until some time after May. I have been praying for awhile about my social life and we are almost oddly alike. Should or shouldn't I? I kinda have my thoughts on this, just wanted another opinion.

Been apart from my ex for 6 months. Had our ups and downs until we finally had the final DOWN. Met a girl online. Met up face to face for the first time last night. Went well and we are gearing up for the second date. I like her alot and feel I am ready too, slowly if must, move into that next chapter of my life.

If the guy makes you feel good about yourself, then give him a chance. It beats going through the BS that your ex put you through.
