Is it right of a 28-year-old woman to fall in love with a 17-year-old guy?

That's my case.Shall I continue with this relationship?

In this connection I must mention I'm not really sexually attracted to him.I mean I definitely love him.But it's basically what we call "Platonic".At least on my part.We have never had sex.

In fact I barely get the urge to have sex anyway.

I love him a lot!I don't wanna take anything from him.I only wanna give him.Everything I can! This might sound odd but sometimes I feel I love him like my own child!

It's not so much the age difference, but how old or i should say young the guy is now. When hes 50 and you're 61 its a different story, but how serious can a 17 year old be?

Hi Fluriana, welcome to the forum

I don't really understand. You love him like a friend? The question is - how would you react if that would be your son? Would you like it if a 28 yo woman would love him?

Well Dona, you are wrong. The older one gets the easier the gap of 10 years will be bridged. It doesn't mean a thing when one is 50 and the other 60 - it is much more difficult between 17 and 27. Besides the fact that being 17 is being a minor so totally unacceptable.

The fact that you just said that you feel like you like him like your own child is not a good thing because that can create the age tension, so unless you can let go off his age and your age, then stop it.
Secondly, he's 17 yrs old, ofcaurse he'd want to have sex. Sustaining platonic love is very hard (read Plato).
Either way, I suggest that unless you and him are on the same level of desire and life, then find yourself somebody who is because in the long run, he might end up breaking your heart.

To be honest its not gonna work because the roles are going to change to mother and son. You're 28 years old and he is a 17 year old lil boy. If i where you i would find a "man" your age. you know if there were any legal action taken against you it could land you in some trouble. Its consequences behind it and to me it isn't worth it.

I have to say I TOTALLY agree with Mr. Taylor. He's a minor that is just not good at all. Also at the age of 17 he is more than likely not ready for a real relationship. He still has a lot of growing up to do which can lead to many mind changes about decisions he may make. I think just as you said you love him like a son and that is just a woman's maternal instinct. Please don't confuse the two types of love and possibly get yourself into trouble. Be safe.

Realtalk, welcome to the forum
I agree with you. Love for different kinds of relationships is often mixed up.
