I've been in a relationship for 6 months now and We love each other very much, And when were together its great. Naturally we've had our ups and downs but we've gotten through them. But my dad doesnt like my boyfriend, nothing personal he says but I want him to understand that he cant make me choose and that this relationship i've got is something that's mine not his and he cant control it. And my boyfriend is worried that he will come between us. What should I do? I don't want to break up with my boyfriend, we really wanna work through this and my dad isnt making it any easier for us to do that. Any ideas?

Your father will have to understand that its your life, your decisions. If the boyfriend isn't right for you, only you will find that out by yourself. Therefore your father will have to let you make up your own mind. He will always be your father and he will come through accepting this in his own time and especially when he realizes that your truly happy!
