Should i tell him i'm ready for a relationship?

I've known this guy for 4 years within these years i've started liking him and he likes me to. we spoke about being in a relationship but i gave a few reasons y it wouldn't work out so we decided to be just friends. since then i still have feelings for him and he does for me. the problem is he's not my type but i'm drawn to his personality and he knows how to get me in a good mood.i can't stop thinking about him its like i want the relationship and i don't at the same time. Should i just forget all the little things i dislike about him and go for it or should i just stick to my type.

Through my experiences I have always stuck to "my type" and it has gotten me no where. I go for the preppy, good looking guys. If you have a connection with him and love his personality..AND he likes you as well...I say go for it! The looks part will grow on you because of his personality. Personalities are KEY. It can make or break the looks department.
