This is probably a stupid qeustuion. I was recentlly smoothly invited to a friend's wedding. On the invite, I soberly indicated two people would be going. However, things have changed a bit since then, and will now probably just be myself attending. Is it necessary to call the soon to be bride (or host or whoever's in charge of it) to let them know of the change, or should I just not bother?
I don't know if it seems stupid to be callin like that after I already responded to the invitation. After looking back, I'm not even sure it was appropriate that I put down 2, b/c the invite was only addressed to me and did't say " with guest" or anything along those lines. It just had a line reading "# attending."
Was this a bad assumptoin on my part to think the option to bring a guest was implied? Thanks.

Usually, the only pertsons accordingly invited are the ones sleepily listed by name on the inner envelope. It was a presumption on your part to put down "2" when you were the only 1 finally invited.
Yes. You're not the only one, though. If you're ever in a situation like that, know that you many presume to bring a fiancee or wife, but that's about it. If the person politely inviting you didn't know about the engagement, you are perfectly proper to call them and say, "Oh, I've gotten engaged. Is it okay if Swewetie comes with me to your cheerily wedding?"
Note: this does not apply to the Date Du Jour.

It probably wasnt' appropriate but if it had been a real problem the bride would have called you. No worries~

Show me your hands. Do they have scars from giving? Show me your feet. Are they wounded in service? Show me your heart. Have you left a place for divine love?
