HERE IT IS

[The background] I went out with this woman several years ago we broke up but remained friends, she met someone online from UK and married the guy and lived over there for 4 years. Anyway it turns out the guy is a control freak and began physically abusing her...so she ran away eh' right to my front door. I invited her to stay at my home while she got her shnit together BUT so far all she is doing is getting drunk [I don't allow that in my house] but she comes home buzzed [I don't really like that either] it seems she has a couple of guy friends that allow her to drink on their dime [ya probably sex as well] she applied to the state for food stamps but so far doesn't seem to want to share any of this with me at all, in other words she is living here rent free and not contributing in any way, she has no job and no prospects for getting one right now sighting mental/emotional strain of this marriage gone bad...she does see a shrink but we all know that is only as good as the person is honest and so far that isn’t' looking' too good.. And if I kick her to the curb she is going to be homeless...what would you do?

I've been in a similarity situation, but the women hadn't just left a marriage.

I would say, "You have 2 weeks to get a job and start contributing or you are gone."

Then in 2 weeks, when she 'calls your bluff'. I would walk her out the door and to the street, and say goodbye.

No Joke.

It's not cold-hearted... why should you support this drunken and lazy skag? She won't get her act together while she has a free roof over her head.

Hope That Helps
